Not only are these safe to use around pets and children, they also have a special component that turns this grubby taper on for 6 hours and off for 18 hours automatically.
It's very simple, first twist off the bottom of the taper, insert 2 AA batteries (not included) and then replace the bottom. To turn it on, twist the bottom clockwise until the bulb is lit.

To activate the timer all you do is turn the taper on at your desired time, let's say 7pm, it will then turn itself off at 1am and then back on again at 7pm automatically. Cool huh?

To turn the taper off manually simply twist the bottom in the opposite direction until the bulb is no longer lit, however if you want to turn the taper back on you will have to do this manually which will activate the timer again.

These are primitive, grubby and best of all ... Everlasting!
I have taken a simple pillar candle drilled a well in the centre to hold a tea light (battery or traditional) and grubbied the candle with cinnamon and other spices, sealed the candle, then repeated the grubbying and sealing process so this cutie will last for ever, hence the name.

The battery operated tea light is included and has also been grubbied but only on the top and down the sides slightly, otherwise it won't fit inside the well. You won't see any white once inside the candle.

To finish the candle off I have added some grubby cheese cloth, jute and a grubby round tag with 1806 written on it. Perfect as a pantry light or to fill a small space.
